Liquor Store 01:21
Raise high your head! Try to hold on. Call this the changing of the guard, you're nobody's prisoner. Keep it in mind. Draw up a list of the reasons you want more cuz' she's hitching a ride with another guy and he's taking them back to the liquor store, and that's when it hit you: The world's gonna let you down. You thought about it then, you'll think about it often. You thought about it then, you'll think about it often. You thought about it then, you'll think about it often, and you'll think about it again. Man, I don't belong to anyone.

The Breaks 02:29
I was alone. I was half dead. I was far past the point of convincing that I didn't need it. It takes a lot to know, it takes a lot to know it takes a lot to know it's what you'll live with all alone. I was asleep or I was locked in a daze and I thought that I might have been dreaming, but it's always an afterthought. I was afraid, then I was wasted. I was one foot in the grave and I didn't care. It takes a lot to know, it must take a lot to know it must take a lot to know it's what you'll die with all alone. I was just too set in my old ways. Trying to pry my way out of your ribcage. When the bonds you thought wouldn't break aren't so sacred anymore, and the lies you always sell, town to town and door to door. Walk on home, I'm not waiting anymore.

No Bother 02:58
Running through these rocks, I lost a lot of my skin. You never had the best of me, anyway, cuz I'm bloody. We used to ride and ride, until there was nothing left in front of you and I. Sometimes we'd hang back and we'd get low. We'd get low. I do owe you, I did use you. It was all your fault. Of fucking course it was. Remember when we'd get high and we'd bathe in hot water? Some people tried to bother us, we didn't bother. I knew you were set on implode. I was the lucky one. I had to go.

The Dogs 03:08
Bring out the dogs when I get home. Break out the guitars when I get home. Speak of the blood on the pavement, tell me how badly you hate it. I'll take it all in stride and say "I know" cuz' I know. Sing me a song when I get back, yeah! Pull me aside for your next attack, then attack! I smell the blood in the water. Call me whatever you wanna. I'll take it all in stride and say "I know", cuz' I know. (That's right, I know!) Leave me alone when I get home. Leave me alone when I get home. Kill the lights and lock the doors, draw the curtains to a close. Here's to nothing, cuz' nothings all we want for anymore.

Mexico 03:01
Arrogant for most of my life. Lonesome in recent times. My favorite photograph, refrigerator. Your smile hides behind the lens. I watched you, I watched you slowly, slowly take the bends. I watched you, I watched you slowly, slowly take the bends. We saw Lucero in Kentucky. I said I bought your ticket, but it was free. So arrogant, so lonesome. I felt the weight of the phrases and you sang along. We watched Ben Nichols sing about his favorite girls. Drips from the pot and a half cup floats away. Away from the path I swore I paved. And I can tell your lips are purposefully pursed. A heat radiates and I'm not sure If it was so damn convenient that my girl was in Mexico. So I could feel like some fucking Jesus when I walked home. So I could feel like some kind of savior when I said "No."

Rivals 04:17
We get on well enough from the mess hall to the trenches where we cover our heads up. Dilated eyes just remain consistent. Cannot settle down. cuz' I'm a rival for everyone cuz' I'm not right with anyone so give us guns and we'll shoot em' off we lost before we could raise the white flag and these days may drag along sometimes but I'll miss my brothers when they've all been left behind or maybe I'm the last one, the last man standing but, I'm not settling down. Swear to god I'm not settling down. A rival for everyone cuz' I'm not right with anyone so give us your guns, we'll shoot each other down we lost before we could raise the white flag Do not settle down. So, you're never gonna settle down? Swear we're never gonna settle down.
